Skin Peels

Over time the skin can suffer from a build up of dead skin cells, making it look dull and clogging the pores. Our skin peels involve painting on and removing a mild acid solution, which simultaneously breaks down the dead surface skin and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the deeper layers. This effective non-surgical procedure improves the appearance and health of the skin and helps get rid of wrinkles, blemishes, acne scars and sun damage. All of our skin peels are carried out by highly trained practitioners.

Most people combine their skin peels with our diamond microdermabrasion treatment for even better results. We also perform dermaroller treatments, that are particularly effective on acne scars and stretch marks, and cosmelan and dermamelan skin pigmentation treatments.

Skin peels of varying formulations and strengths can be used to treat a broad spectrum of conditions. A skin peel removes multiple layers of dead cells from the surface of the skin, thus revealing the healthy new cells underneath.

Cellulite removal, skin tightening, body contouring, and non-surgical face lifts

Radio frequency (RF) treatments have been utilised by the medical profession for more than 70 years, but until recently there wasn't a delivery system that allowed it to be used non-surgically and non-ablative (without damaging the surface skin).

Now there is, and Lenitive Plus is one of the first clinics in the area to have one of these state-of-the-art multi-polar RF machines that provide safe, quick, painless RF treatments for combating sagging jowls, bingo wings, loose skin, stretch marks and cellulite.

RF energy heats and modifies the soft tissue in the deeper layers of the skin without affecting the surface, causing the larger fat cells to break down and the collagen to contract and tighten. This is a relatively quick and essentially painless procedure with virtually no down time, so you could go back to work immediately. Facial skin and the skin along the neck can be tightened providing a mild, non-surgical brow lift or face lift effect, or to treat sagging jowls.

The tightening effect can also be used to firm up loose or sagging tissue in other parts of the body such as the abdomen or legs, and it has recently been shown to significantly reduce the size and visibility of stretch marks. Most patients see results immediately, although most develop gradually over a 3 to 6 week period as the skin tightens and more new collagen is formed.

Blemish removal

We perform Advanced Cosmetic Procedure (ACP) treatments using electrolysis to quickly, easily and painlessly treat a wide variety of skin blemishes, with effective and often instantaneous results offering an eventual blemish free smooth skin. We are therefore able to care and support you in a practical sense by removing any unsightly blemishes that may have effected your confidence and wellbeing.

These include:

Facial thread veins - caused by aging, pregnancy, spectacles, smoking, and harsh weather exposure etc.

Blood spots - bright red blemishes that lie just below the skin surface. These are generally more common in men than women.

Spider Naevus - central dilated blood vessels with radiating capilliaries like the legs of a spider, often found on facial areas such as the cheeks.

Skin tags - very common and most frequently found in areas of friction such as on and around the neck, with sizes varying from tiny to the size of a large pea.

Milia - tiny white hard lumps containing keratin. Their exact cause is unknown but they are often associated with acidic dry skin.

Warts - all of the various types (plane, common, seborrhoeic, veruccas) can be easily and successfully treated by ACP.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra - smooth dark papules that develop in adolescence on black skin, mainly on the cheeks, neck and upper chest.

Moles - hairs from moles can be treated once a GP's written agreement has been obtained. Repeat treatments are required.

Permanent hair removal

We use modern galvanic, diathermy, or blend electrolysis techniques to safely, effectively and comfortably remove unwanted hair.

Dermaroller

Dermaroller is a natural skin regeneration and scar repair therapy that is particularly effective on acne and deeply sun damaged or weathered skin.

Medical grade cosmetics

It doesn't matter what the expensive cosmetic industry claim, all products bought over the counter, no matter how luxurious, expensive, and beautifully packaged, have no actual biological effect on the skin. This is because they do not contain adequate levels of the active ingredients to penetrate the surface layers, which is necessary to prevent and repair the signs of aging and damaged skin. If they did they would be classified as medical products and could not be sold over-the-counter other than via specialist skin clinics such as ours.

We provide clinically proven medical grade cosmetics for all skin types and ages, and from the leading manufacturers - most notably Dermaquest and Neostrata.

Microdermabrasion

Diamond microdermabrasion offers a safe and controlled method of skin resurfacing by exfoliating the outer layers of the skin. This is an excellent progressive solution to reduce open pores, blackheads, fine wrinkles, pigmentation, blemish scars, acne scars and much more.

This treatment combines a diamond microdermabrasion treatment with a customised facial for a healthy, vibrant and refreshed appearance. For best results a course of treatments is recommended, about 10-14 days apart.

Medical microdermabrasion

Medical microdermabrasion is the combination of a microdermabrasion followed by a chemical skin peel chosen specifically for your skin type and needs.

Pigmentation and Asian skin

Asian and Indian skin types are generally darker than northern European because of the increased amount of melanin in the skin. Melanin is the pigment that protects the skin from sunlight, and increased levels can lead to the development of pigmentation problems. Irregular pigmentation and dark patches on the skin can be frustrating and worrying, so people are anxious to remove or reduce them in a safe and effective way. With the recent advances in aesthetic medicine most types of pigmentation are now treatable.

Depigmentation: Dermamelan
